Chameleon Feeding Mechanics

Chameleons are well known for their impressive projectile tongue feeding. What happens to this feeding mechanism when there is significant investment in sexually dimorphic traits in the skull? Male Jackson's chameleons have three large bony horns on their skull, while females do not. We investigate whether skull proportions differ in male and female chameleons of this species and whether they lead to differences in the capacity for tongue projection.
